Education System

The structure includes:

Primary Education: Age Group: 7 - 12 Years Students have to compulsorily complete six years of schooling, passing out with the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE).

Secondary Education: Age Group: 13 - 16 Years Students must clear GCE O-Level exams or equivalent qualifications for the next four to five years.

Post-Secondary:

Scholarships

Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA)

It is one of the prestigious scholarships for study abroad aspirants bent towards PhD in Biomedical Sciences, Physical Sciences, or Engineering at Singapore's top universities. It is a collaboration between the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the National University of Singapore (NUS), and the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). Scholarship perks include a monthly stipend of S$2,700 to S$3,200, a one-time airfare grant (S$1,500), a one-time settling-in allowance (S$1,000), and up to four years of PhD study. All international students passionate about research can apply.

ASEAN Foundation Scholarships

The ASEAN Foundation, in partnership with the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute (CGI), offers the CGI – AF Postgraduate Scholarship Program in Science and Technology. It is for Southeast Asian nationals aiming to pursue a master's at CGI. The scholarship covers tuition and academic fees, airfare, visa fees, relocation allowance, monthly allowance, study material allowance, and health insurance. Aspirants under 30 years of age with a Bachelor's degree in Sciences, Medical Sciences, or Pharmacy can apply.

National University of Singapore (NUS) – Global Merit Scholarship

The NUS Global Merit Scholarship is especially for the excellent heads seeking to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate programs at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). It covers tuition fees up to SGD 15000 per year, living allowances equal to SGD 6,000 per year and other related expenses like study materials, etc.

SIA Youth Scholarship

The SIA Youth Scholarship is designed to help students undertaking pre-university studies in Singapore. Moreover, these students wish to undertake two years of pre-university studies at selected colleges in Singapore. One can win this scholarship based on academic performance. Scholarships benefits include fully covered tuition & exam fees, living expenses equal to SGD 2,500 per month, medical benefits and accident insurance.
